NTR Memorial Trust has donated Rs. 1 lakh for treatment of 5 year old girl, N Vijayalaxmi, daughter of N V Kalyani from Vijayanagaram who has hearing difficulty (Sensorineural deafness) since birth, this has affected her speech. At an age when she should be playing around with her friends, she has become a recluse because of her disability. She needs a hearing implant and speech therapy to enable her to hear normally and the whole treatment was estimated to cost close to 10.50 lakhs. Hearing about the difficulties faced by her parents, the Managing Trustee Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu has responded immediately and decided to contribute Rs 1 Lakh for the operation from NTR Memorial Trust. Cheque for Rs 1 lakh was handed over on 29-03-08. Enclosed below is the photograph of N. Vijaya Lakshmi along with parents requesting for financial help. With this support it is hoped that she would be able to talk like any other kid and grow up normally. NTR TRUST DONATES to Baby N. (NTR Memorial Trust is donating Rs. 1 Lakh to the parents of N Prithvi, towards meeting the cost of stem cell transplantation. ) 4 year old V. Prithvi the only child of Sri C Viswanatha Reddy, resident of Gunjarlapalli village of Santhipuram Mandal in Chithoor District of A P was diagnosed to have Blood Cancer (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) in May 2006 when he was only 2 years old. At this tender age he has already gone through the rigors of chemotherapy, wondering why he suffering for frequent vomiting, body aches, hair loss and bleeds frequently . His parents who are poor had to move mountains to secure the RS. 5 Lakh needed for the salvage Chemotherapy carried out at C.M.C , Vellore. He needs stem cell transplantation from his parents as he has no siblings and the cost of the treatment is Rs. 25 Lakhs.
Prithvi has not given up hope and is fighting the disease courageously. He should not lose the fight just because his parents cannot afford the treatment. Let us all come together and contribute what ever we can to ensure that Prithvi wins this fight.

NTR Virtual blood bank handing over 200 units of blood to Govt maternity hospital.  NTR VIRTUAL Blood Bank awarded ISO 9001-2000 Certification
NTR Virtual Blood Bank is happy to announce the receipt of ISO 9001-2000 certification. Apparently this is the first blood bank in Andhra Pradesh to have ISO certification. NTR Blood Bank has gained reputation as a Blood Bank that can provide at any time, blood of any group, including rare groups like AB-ve, B-ve etc. In the month of March, we have issued 1915 units of blood and its components of which 177 are rare blood groups.156 Thalessemia Children, apart from receiving free blood, also received free infusion facility (Photograph Enclosed). 25% of our blood units are provided to cancer patients (in Hospitals like Indo-American Cancer Institute and Research Center, MNJ Hospital etc.) .In the month of March 378 patients were given blood free of cost.
 Highlight of our stellar performance in March 2008 has been our achievement in providing blood to 127 needy patients in places as far away as Nandyal, (B+) Vijayanagaram (B+), Adilabad (AB+) by motivating the voluntary donors (living in villages and towns close to the hospitals where the patients are in need of blood), to go to the hospital and donate blood through our unique 24X7 Call Center. Thus the concept of virtual blood bank has taken shape and has become a reality. On this happy note we would like to thank all the donors who have donated the blood. Willing Donors of all groups are requested to contact our blood bank call centre (040-30799999) and register themselves and donate blood periodically.
